Following the Steps to Stop
Panic Attacks
When a person is incapacitated by a panic attack, they sometimes feel there is nothing they can
do to stop it or help to relieve the symptoms they are going through.
As bad as the panic attack might be, there are
a lot of treatments that can stop a panic attack, or at least make them so weak that they do not disrupt a persons
life.
The causes do vary from person to person and
for all types of reasons, which could be caused by unresolved issues from childhood. Some are caused by a traumatic
situation in the recent past ,while others are caused by some sort of phobia. What ever they are, physical, mental
or emotional they all need some sort of trigger to start them off.
Once the underlying reasons are identified and
examined, the triggers are easily identified, then an individual usually can start to eradicate them or is able to
stop them in their tracks when they have the first symptoms. But if the issues are not addressed, the individual
can end up becoming agoraphobic, fearing a panic attack and pushing their problem deeper into their
sub-conscious.

Taking Precautions
The first step to stop a panic attack is to
recognize the triggers that provoke an attack. It may be a certain situation, certain types of people (crowds) or
animals, or certain issues that the person has to confront in the family, friends or at work..

next step in stopping a panic attack can be started. It is always best to write things down, by doing this you can
detach yourself from them and look at them with a more objected mind. It may also help to get a dairy and work out
the dates when you run into a situation that starts a panic attack. This way by knowing in advance lets you have a
choice of bypassing the situation or confronting it. It all really depends how you want to get to grips with your
panic attacks and take the Steps to stop panic attacks happening. To some people this is to much trouble. But this
should start to give you a better control over you attacks .
When a person knows a panic attack is about
start by the first symptoms He or she is feeling The they can talk themselves through the attack with words that
they have faced this before I can again. This positive attitude helps to keep themselves calmer while the attack
last.
An addition to this, is where a person can
look at the step to stop a panic attack they need to take once or twice a day. If you like, this is a pep talk in
which you tell yourself that you have been through the panic attack before and survived and can do it again, and
each time you have an attack they get shorter and shorter. You can also work on your breathing

In addition to these steps to stop panic
attacks when they are about to occur or are in the process of occurring, there are other preventative measures that
can be used by individuals. The person needs to look at their stress levels in their life. Maybe they have taken on
to much at work, maybe their partner could help more, or they have just got to get their life into some simple
routines and give themselves time and space to relax. They should also take some of the weapons away from
their attacks like stop smoking, drinking, cutting out or cutting down on caffeine so that these things do not
induce a panic attack.
